From Melbourne, Australia

Since 2011 I have worked in private and public practice, in the clinic and online, consulting with patients around the country and overseas regarding all manner of presentations and dilemmas. I undertake mentoring and clinical supervision with psychiatrists, paediatricians and clinicians from other health sciences. This page is intended to give you an impression of me and an introduction to my approaches and practice, as well as providing some guidance on the help you might seek in general for your problems.

Who I work with

I see people of all ages in my private clinic. In public practice, I work with women in the perinatal period, and children and families from 0 - 16. There are as many reasons a person may seek therapy or psychoanalysis for themselves or a family member as there are people, stories and struggles in the world. An individual may seek an appointment with questions about life, traumas, loss or a restlessness that remains unresolved. A parent may see me with a physical, emotional or developmental concern about their child.

What any prospective patient will have is an awareness at a certain level at least that their problem must be spoken of - and differently understood - to bring about change. Also, that there must be more to this life.

How I work

I am infant, child and general psychiatrist, practicing psychoanalysis and psychotherapy with people of all ages. Despite being a doctor, medication almost never has a role in my practice, rather it is through listening and speaking that change takes place. Referrals for medication and one-off assessments for particular diagnoses such ASD and ADHD are not part of my work.
